The formula
Clarity’s current brief brings together 5% niacinamide, 3% tranexamic acid and 3% 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, a vitamin C derivative.
Acetyl glucosamine, alpha-arbutin, panthenol, ergothioneine and Ecklonia cava extract complete the current ingredient direction. The complete ingredient list will accompany the final formula.

A form of vitamin B3 and one of the three lead ingredients in the Clarity brief. The target concentration is 5%.
Its use in topical skincare for uneven pigmentation informs the development work. Ingredient research is distinct from results for the finished serum.

Topical tranexamic acid has been studied in formulas for uneven pigmentation. Clarity’s development brief specifies a 3% target alongside niacinamide and a vitamin C derivative.

The vitamin C derivative chosen for the current brief is 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. Its target concentration is 3%.

Ecklonia cava
Ecklonia cava is a brown marine alga. Its extract is included in Clarity’s current brief, among a wider selection of ingredients.
It brings one part of the marine world into SelvaMer’s first formula. The image is an editorial marine study, not a photograph of our ingredient supply.
The supporting ingredients
Acetyl glucosamine, alpha-arbutin, panthenol and ergothioneine join Ecklonia cava extract in the current brief.
